I had been looking for the perfect small anchor necklace for some time, so I was really happy to give a review in exchange for a discount on it. I had read the description carefully as I didn't even want a discounted price on something that looked like cheap junk. When the package arrived, I opened it, and there was the pretty little "velvet" box, as advertised. Not as sturdy a velvet box as you might think, but that was fine for the price. I opened it to reveal the beautifully made silver anchor necklace...the exact one I had been searching for. Even though the stones are actually cubic zirconia, they sparkle like fine diamonds, as does the sterling silver necklace. I doubt many people could tell the difference...outside of gemologists.Silver is my Spring-Summer jewelry color, and nothing too heavy. This little beauty is perfect for everyday wear or dress up, with diamonds studs. I wanted it in memory of all the sailors in my families, going waaaay back, and I wear mine every single day. One night I forgot to take it off before showering, but after gently drying/polishing, it was like new. I have had so many people comment on how beautiful it is, even cashiers in the stores. One told me she couldn't help but notice because every time I moved, the necklace would sparkle brightly in the store's overhead lights!I took a couple pictures, but even with my flash off, the reflection of the gems blurred the definition.This would be the perfect gift for naval or sea-faring family and friends, and I can honestly say I will recommend this without qualm.
This is a downright gorgeous necklace. It is made very well and looks way more expensive than what I paid. It is made strong ( I wear it daily) and the silver and stones look great in the setting. Nothing but positive to report. It would also make a great gift.
